New Year, New steps

Hello, everyone. This is my first entry into a brand new format. YAY! I haven't ever blogged before, so this will be interesting....

I'm tired this morning because one of the outside dogs, Benjamin Franklin Jefferson John (YES, that IS his name, and NO, I did NOT name him!!) decided that 2:00 a.m. in the morning was a great time to do his Hound-of-the-Baskervilles imitation...no amount of telling him to SHUT THE FRIG UP would quiet him...no other dogs were barking....needless to say, I was ready to tie his tongue to his tail by 3:00 a.m. I get up at 5:30 a.m. anyways, but that was just ridiculous...*yawns* however, Ben MAY have beem hearing the local cougar or bobcat move through the woods behind us....

Well, I have a few friends at a chat site who said they would follow this blog if I started one, mainly dealing with weight loss and health and my personal Journey...and as those of us who are wise know, *yawn and stretch*, everything that happens to us on a daily basis affects us in these areas.

To start this, however, I must tell you that I am 42, female, and that I weigh over 400 pounds. Part of the weight is medical problems, part is just me being plain lllaaaazee. I was told by someone at the chat that I was very brave for doing this, and maybe I am. I just know its time to do something abou this situation before it gets worse... I think this will be interesting as I am not going to follow any particular diet as such other than sensible eating habits (yes, that means I will have such things as chocolate cake and choccie chip cookies) and starting an excercise routine. I have a mobility disability, arthritis, IBS, asthma, and Fibromyalgia, so my excercise area and routine will be modified. I will be using the bed for those excercises that usually take place on the floor, for example...

As soon as I can find the latest pics taken of myself from this past year, I will post them here, so we can all see what my progress is.

I also do a LOT of craft work, so I will also be blogging that in here as well...I recently discovered the Knifty Knitter looms and made my 2006 Christmas presents with them...

I am also a practicing Solitary Witch, and I will be talking about that, too...and I am also starting to learn how to work with the Universe to provide good things for my life. *yawns again*

This morning, aside from Ben (the dog) waking us up an such an early hour, I have already had breakfast, scrambled eggs and biscuits with a bit of butter and OJ....and I am thinking seriously about going back to bed for awhile. If I go and try to do excercise on the bed, I am liable to fall asleep anyways...*giggles*....

I am also married, and hubby started a new job this week. He is having trouble adjusting to it...and I am having someone pick up a sleep aid for him today ( we have 1 car, and of course he uses it to get to work) because he has not been sleeping well that past two nights due to head chatter...and that dratted dog did not help things, either...whne hubby gets home, I have an errand to run, dinner to feed him, and then I am giving him a dose of sleep aid....and let him sleep deep and long.

SO, look for my pictures and for my continued story! and thanks for stopping by!
